Michael Bruggeman holds an MSOD in Organizational Design and Development from Loyola University’s School of Business in Chicago, where he spent 7 of his 22 years in hospital administration. Mike has been responsible for strategic planning, marketing, support operations, clinical operations, IT and human resources functions. Mike maintains a personal interest in integrative health and wellness services, and has led several building projects and new service implementations which bridge traditional and nontraditional therapies in the hospital setting. Mike is the CEO of several thriving ecommerce skin care and wellness lifestyle businesses. NatrualBeautyGroup.com was founded in 2002 and was reinvented in 2014 to encompass a broader wellness lifestyle focus. Mike is also the CEO of Organic Male OM4, the first type-specific skin care system to address the clinical differences in male skin. Mike enjoys living and volunteering for several non-profits in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado which affords him the opportunity to fully embrace his life’s motto: work hard, play hard and make a difference.
Dr. John Douillard, DC, CAP. is a globally recognized leader in the fields of natural health, Ayurveda, and sports medicine. He is the creator of LifeSpa.com, the leading Ayurvedic health and wellness resource on the web with over 700 natural health and fitness articles and videos proving ancient wisdom with modern science. Dr. John is the former Director of Player Development and nutrition advisor for the New Jersey Nets NBA team, author of 6 books, a repeat guest on the Dr. Oz show, and featured in Woman’s World Magazine, Huffington Post, Yoga Journal and dozens of other national publications. He directs LifeSpa, the 2013 Holistic Wellness Center of the year in Boulder, CO.
Debra Duneier is the founder and President of EcoChi LLC, an interior design and consulting company with a focus on Eco-Design and the human experience. Debra is a Feng Shui Master Practitioner, accredited LEED Green Associate, Certified Eco-Designer and award winning author of EcoChi: Designing the Human Experience. Debra created the EcoChi 180° Seal Certification which is the only building and interior design certification that is customized for each project. The EcoChi Seal Certification has been recognized by Boutique Design NY/Green Voices, The Women Builders Council and Green Lodging News. An invited delegate to the Global Wellness Summit she is also a member of the Global Sustainability Initiative for the Global Wellness Institute. Deborah Fleischer. Authentic, creative, connecting to deeper values, inspiring green actions. These are a few of the things that Deborah Fleischer, President and Founder of Green Impact (www.greenimpact.com), stands for. Deborah is passionate about moving organizations from vision into green action and bringing sustainability alive to employees. She has helped the Haas Business School, Mattel, and the University of San Francisco increase awareness, create a sustainable brand, and inspire action through strategy, communications, and engagement. Deborah was the first program director at the Institute at the Golden Gate, the nonprofit arm of Cavallo Point (GSN Sustainable Spa of the Year 2014), just north of San Francisco. Deborah’s educational background includes a Masters in Environmental Studies from Yale University and a Masters in Public Administration from Harvard. Marianne Griffeth founded Prima Fleur in 1990 having spent several years researching essential oils and cosmetic ingredients. Working with many of the original aromatherapists in the U.S. and abroad, with herbalists, and with universities, she gathered sources of rare botanicals around the world. With a background of studies in anthropology and chemistry, there was a particular interest in both the cultural and environmental aspects of sustainable uses of botanicals in personal care. Working for over 25 years as the lead chemist and product formulator for Prima Fleur, she has created thousands of personal care product formulas which have been manufactured by her company and are currently sold world-wide under numerous brands. She is a sought after speaker in the area of green chemistry and formulation as well as the future trends in the industry.
Ms. Griffeth has advised on green initiatives with Proctor & Gamble, written numerous articles in trade publications, and was a contributing author of The World of Aromatherapy.
Tara Grodjesk has been an innovator and leader in the wellness field for over 30 years. Certified as Holistic Health Educator, Massage Therapist and Ayurvedic Practitioner, she was the first to introduce Ayurveda to the spa industry 25 years ago. She has hosted 14 annual Women’s Retreats for Spa Professionals and is currently launching TARA Living Wellness Retreats. Tara has been an active participant of ISPA for 25 years and was Chairwoman of ISPA’s first Taskforce on Greening and Sustainability. Tara is an Emeritus Founding Board Member of the Green Spa Network, and has co-chaired the GSN Annual Congress Committee and GSN Buyer’s Conference Committee. In recognition of her longstanding commitment to GSN, Tara was recently honored by the GSN Dedicated Contributor Award being named after her as: The Tara Grodjesk Dedicated Contributor Award. Her company was a winner of the Plastic Reduction Challenge, a contest of the international organization Plastic Pollution Coalition in collaboration with GSN.
Jennifer B. Kahnweiler, Ph.D., Certified Speaking Professional, is a global speaker and bestselling author based in Atlanta, GA. Julie Keller Callaghan. As the editor-in-chief/publisher of American Spa magazine, Julie helms the industry’s leading publication for spa professionals and has done so for more than a decade. She travels the world speaking at various conferences and events and reporting on top spas and has led her team to win several prestigious awards for editorial and design. She holds a Spa and Hospitality Management Certificate from the University of California, Irvine, and is also a longtime freelance writer specializing in spa, beauty, health, wellness, travel, art and entertainment.
Travis Macy. Finisher of over 120 ultra endurance events in 17 countries, Travis Macy is a speaker, author, coach, and professional endurance athlete. Mary Lynn Mellinger serves as lead design associate for key accounts within the WTS portfolio. She comes to WTS from the H. Chambers Company in Baltimore, MD where she was the Senior Interior Designer for private country clubs. Additionally, Mary Lynn’s background extends into the health and wellness field, having worked with several high-end Senior Living facilities throughout the country to include Independent Living, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing units and Dementia Care. Mary Lynn is a professionally licensed interior designer, as well as LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) accredited.
Mehrad Nazari, PhD, MBA, is a professional negotiator, speaker, author, lecturer, and consultant on the subject of Enlightened Negotiation®. He is passionate about teaching corporations and individuals how to elevate their interactions and improve collaboration and productivity. Mehrad believes that as human beings it is our innate desire to connect, create, and prosper. There are certain universal laws through which implementation into our daily lives can help us to attain these goals. Carolyn Parrs is the CEO and founder of Mind Over Markets, a boutique marketing communications company devoted to helping purpose-driven, sustainable, green and healthy brands build a better world for over 12 years. Lisa Sykes. A writer for over 20 years, Lisa Sykes is copy director for Universal Companies. She specializes in copyediting for marketing regulatory compliance, including personal care and environmental claims, web content creation, and technical writing. Since 2008, Lisa has co-chaired the Green Spa Network personal care product committee and served on its advisory council.
